Dr. Kan is an award-winning teacher. He has been voted teacher of the year by the UCSF Psychiatry Residents on multiple occasions. His talks are timely, evidence-based, and entertaining. He has expertise speaking on a variety of topics related to addiction treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and forensic psychiatry. Dr. Kan has been published in print media and interviewed on radio.

Dr. Kan can speak in almost any forum to further his mission to educate patients, physicians, and the public on the treatment of addiction and forensic psychiatry.
