Telemedicine

Dr. Kan provides treatment and consultation via telemedicine. Telemedicine is a growing field of medicine. Multiple research studies have confirmed that telemedicine improves patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Dr. Kan has been a practitioner of telemedicine since he worked at the San Francisco Veteran's Administration Medical Center.

Why Telemedicine?

You can now receive treatment from the comfort of your own home, office, or on the road. You can be geographically distant from Dr. Kan's office but still receive care. You save money on commuting and avoid the hassle of traffic.

Telemedicine Delivery and Fees

It is Dr. Kan's preference to meet face-to-face for the initial assessment. Subsequent sessions can occur by telemedicine.

Fees are identical to face-to-face meetings.

Technical Issues

Dr. Kan conducts telemedicine sessions by FaceTime or Skype. FaceTime is preferred over Skype because the image and sound quality is more consistent.

A connection with a minimum of 1Mbps is recommended.
